Planning to on board the world’s longest flight? Here’s all you need to know!

You may have recently heard the news about the world’s longest flight from Singapore to New York. The record 9,534-mile flight was brought back into operation by Singapore Airlines recently. It seems Singapore Airlines desperately wanted to regain its top position in this regard.

For individuals who are looking to experience the 18-hour 25-minute flight, it is a tiring yet one-of-a-kind experience. Long haul international flights including this one was cancelled five years ago due to rising oil prices but have been brought back into service backed by technological advances.

A fancy new plane, Airbus SE’s A350-900 Ultra Long Range, has been tasked with covering the mammoth distance. While the 18-hour flight cannot be pleasant, the fact that it only has business class reduces the pain a lot. Many customers will now pick this over traditional 1-stop routes as it drastically reduces the time spent on travelling, and a lot of unwanted hassle as well.

What are the specialities of this World’s Longest Flight?

Saves about 5 hours:

If you are planning to take the world’s longest flight anytime soon, there are some things that you should know. There are only four bathrooms for the business-class cabins and three others for 94 other premium economy seats.

While it is tough to travel in a confined space for 18 hours, there is Wi-Fi and in-flight entertainment to keep flyers engaged. There are about 200 hours of content that individuals can consume while on the flight. A wide range of amenities will also be served on the route for the first three months.

On the brighter side, you will be delighted with the meals served on the flight. The first meal is served approximately 30 minutes after take-off, which will come along with a main dish and dessert. You can choose from a wide range of services from the ‘Book the Cook’ menu. However, customers will need to pre-order it at the time of flight booking and need to be ordered 24 hours before.

There is a wide range of exotic options including lobsters and snappers. The main meal served approximately 10 to 11 hours after the flight is an absolute treat, accompanied by an exotic range of wine and champagnes.
